Tasting Paris

I went to Paris expecting to eat amazing food and to see some amazing sights. And I did eat a lot of scrumptious pastries and some very refreshing ice cream. But they weren't as sweet as I thought they would be. I also saw some magnificent sights like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Damme. But it wasn't a life altering experience.

Sharing laughs and tears with lifelong friends. Serving and being served with love tasted much sweeter. Yes, I will likely remember many of the sights of Paris for all my days, but baring my soul with fellow members of the body of Christ will stay with me and mold me for a lifetime. I am not alone. You are not alone. So let's savor that because it's so delicious.

P.S.

The most delicious thing I ate I didn't even buy. It was a "cake" more like a layered pie that our friends shared with us. I wouldn't have bought this on my own because it wasn't my birthday, but I was invited to share in their celebration. And it was decadent.
